Presenting at Anchorage Community Land Trust's Indigenous People's Set Up Shop Event

I was honored to accept an invitation to be a featured presenter at an Anchorage Community Land Trust's Indigenous People's Set Up Shop (IPSUS) event. As a previous graduate of the Set Up Shop program myself (before IPSUS was created), I was excited to have the opportunity to share my experiences and insights with others who are embarking on their own journey of entrepreneurship.

The IPSUS program is designed specifically for Indigenous business owners who are looking to start or grow their businesses. It provides training, resources and support to help participants navigate the complex world of entrepreneurship. Being part of this program and working with the Anchorage Community Land Trust has been a transformative experience for me and I'm grateful for the opportunity to have shared my story with others.

As a featured presenter, I was able to talk about my business, Yaaruin Consulting. I shared my journey of starting my business and the challenges I faced along the way. Being able to talk about my business and share my experiences with others was incredibly meaningful to me. It allowed me to not only reflect on my own journey but also to inspire others to pursue their own dreams of entrepreneurship.

Meeting other like-minded individuals was one of the highlights of the program. It was inspiring to be in a room filled with Indigenous entrepreneurs who are all working towards similar goals. We were able to share our experiences and learn from each other. It was also a great opportunity to network and make connections with potential clients and partners.

The Set Up Shop program provided me with resources and support that have helped me to grow my business. This program equips entrepreneurs with the knowledge and skills they need to navigate and thrive in the business world. It provides access to important resources such as funding opportunities, marketing support, and mentorship. Being able to give back to this program by serving as a presenter was a truly rewarding experience.

As a business owner, it can be challenging to find others who understand the unique challenges we face. The Set Up Shop program and the Anchorage Community Land Trust work to address these challenges by providing us with the support and resources we need to succeed. Being a part of this program has been a transformative experience for me and I'm grateful for the opportunity to have shared my story with others.

Both the Indigenous People's Set Up Shop and regular Set Up Shop programs are a valuable resource for entrepreneurs who are looking to start or grow their businesses. Sharing my story was an incredible honor and allowed me to reflect on my own journey while inspiring others to pursue their dreams of entrepreneurship. The program provides vital resources and support to help us navigate the complexities of the business world. As an Indigenous business owner, being a part of this program has been a transformative experience and I encourage other entrepreneurs to take advantage of this important resource!
